Graphic Recording & Sketchnotes · Atlanta · Available Nationwide
You've spent a bazillion dollars to place ideas into their heads. But only 2% remains after a month. You can pay me to make those ideas really STICK! I write the main ideas and draw clever visuals to match — right in front of your audience. And you can give them the boards that they like to look at, that will inspire them and their teams for months after.
Give your in-room audience something to watch unfold. I come to your event and capture the conversation live on 5-foot-wide boards or on an iPad, creating a visual record people can gather around, photograph, and remember.
Keep remote attendees just as engaged. I join over a computer, draw on an iPad, and share the canvas live during your Zoom, Teams, or Hopin session, so participants can watch the ideas take shape in real time.
Upload a talk, sermon, or meeting once, then turn it into either a finished sketchnote image or an interactive 3D Talk Map your group can scroll through and remember.
Estimate: $500 booking fee plus $500 per board or per two-hour block, whichever is higher. Enable JavaScript to use the calculator.

Most of my work over the past ten years is proprietary — created for clients who keep it internal. But here are some that I can share!
Case studies: Angels for Change annual conference · Clowns Without Borders board meeting
I've done graphic recording and sketchnotes for some of the biggest — and smallest — companies in the world. Many of them Fortune 500. Over ten years, hundreds of gigs. Most of that work is proprietary, and a great deal of it was while working for The Sketch Effect, an Atlanta-based graphic recording company I'm proud to work with. They've been at this for over 15 years — with a network of some of the best graphic recorders in the business and many of the biggest companies in the world in their portfolio. They have the logistics, the team, the scale. If your event needs multiple artists or full-service production, they're the right call.
But if you've seen my style and you just need the work done — a single artist, a direct conversation, a fair price — you can book me right here.
I'm based in Midtown Atlanta and I'll travel. I work on paper and digitally. I draw fast, listen well, and I genuinely enjoy the work — which means you get senior-level work, a direct line, and a price that makes sense.
Video testimonial from the Vote Your Voice Youth Summit — Southern Poverty Law Center.
"Ross Boone's ability to bring impact and artistry to the event, live, was the highlight of the event."
— Laura Bray, Angels for Change (at annual conference)"Having Ross on board with us upped the game so much more because we were able to watch the notes being made, artistically in a creative way, which we could look at the screen and back to our group... and it gave us a deeper level of understanding of the work we've done over the last thirty years and look forward to the next 30 years. Having Ross part of our team was super super helpful. And it made some of the boring stuff a little bit exciting."
— Tim Cunningham, Pres. of Clowns Without Borders (at board meeting)"A few years ago at Refuge Coffee, our annual 5K fell in the same month as an emergency fundraiser to replace our leaking roof. Ross got our visitors — participants and volunteers — to answer a question about what home and shelter meant to them. And he drew all their answers! We kept his board up in our coffee shop for years because we wanted our community to know we listen to them. I've hired Ross for many things over the years and he always delivers just what we need with a keen understanding of us and of his audience. (By the way, we raised the funds and got the new roof!)"
Graphic recording is the practice of listening to speakers or discussions and illustrating the key ideas live, in real time, on a large visual canvas. The result is a rich, hand-drawn summary that helps audiences remember what was said, see connections between ideas, and stay engaged throughout the event. It's also called live scribing, visual note-taking, or sketchnoting.
My graphic recording rate is a $500 booking fee plus $500 per board or per two hours, whichever gives the higher total. For example, two boards and four hours totals $1,500. Time runs from the beginning of the first listening session through the end of the last, including breaks between sessions. Setup and finishing time are excluded. Travel costs (flights, hotel if needed) and materials are added separately and discussed before booking.
Graphic recording typically refers to large-scale, live illustration at events — often on a 4×8 foot board or digital canvas visible to the whole room. Sketchnotes are a more compact form of the same skill, distilling ideas into a single illustrated page. Both capture the essence of what's being communicated through drawings and words working together.
Yes. I work on a digital canvas shared via screen share during your Zoom, Teams, or similar session. Participants see the drawing unfold in real time, just like a live event. The finished file is delivered digitally and can be shared immediately after.
Yes. I'm based in Midtown Atlanta, GA and travel nationwide for events. Travel costs are added to the graphic recording fee and always discussed upfront — no surprises.
Booking directly means you work one-on-one with me from the first conversation through delivery. You know exactly who's showing up, you see my specific style before you commit, and there's no middleman. For larger events needing multiple artists or complex logistics, a full agency may be a better fit — and I'd tell you that honestly. But for a single artist doing great work at a clear price, direct is the simpler path.
Conferences, leadership summits, strategy sessions, workshops, team retreats, training events, keynote sessions, panel discussions, and any gathering where you want people to feel heard and walk away remembering what happened. Graphic recording is especially effective for complex or abstract topics where a visual helps ideas land.
